From Struggle to Startup: Meet Hostel96's Co-Founder.
Asfandyar Khan and his classmates- “Md Ali Fahad and Md Asif”, suffered with poor hostel options while getting ready for the NEET exam, so they created Hostel96, a reliable platform that assists more than 7,000 students in finding better living arrangements.

A Shift in Direction
The story of Asfandyar Khan starts in Gaya (Bihar), where he was an ordinary student attempting to deal with the demands of his studies. Asfandyar took a different path in a nation where studying for competitive tests like JEE is practically a given. He chose the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) track with the goal of passing the NEET and going into medicine. The first of the difficulties that connected this choice was the necessity of leaving his birthplace in order to better prepare.
Finding a Home Away from Home: The Challenges
Asfandyar had an unexpected challenge when he moved to a new city to get ready for NEET: locating a suitable place to reside. The search for a hostel was filled with challenges. He eventually found a place after days of looking, but it wasn't ideal. It was challenging to concentrate on studies because of crowded areas, poor facilities, and a lack of basic essentials. Md Ali Fahad discussed with Asfandyar about this issue along with Md Asif, Asfandyar quickly discovered that this wasn't only his issue. He was in the same situation as the people around him, Md. Ali Fahad and Md. Asif. Speaking with other students, it became clear that this was a common problem that affected many students who had moved away from home to pursue their goals.
From Trouble to Possibility
The three of them started to question why there isn't a better way for students to choose trustworthy, comfortable hostels. What if they were able to come up with a way to deal with this problem? They made the decision to transform their personal hardships into a commercial opportunity with this concept in mind. Hostel96 came into being. One significant obstacle, though, was that none of them had any prior startup or company expertise. However, they were aware that the issue was too significant to overlook.
Learning When on the Go
It wasn't easy to start Hostel96. When they finished their 12th graders, Asfandyar and his classmates were taking a year off to be ready for the NEET. They lacked technological know-how, investment capital, and a business startup plan. They did had determination, though.
Asfandyar and Md Asif, who had been curious in technology since the 9th grade, made the decision to act independently. They stood into web programming and other technological tools to start analysing computer skills online. In the meantime, the three of them combined their pocket money to register their business and establish their website. They persevered and managed to make it work despite having few resources.
Creating Connections and Moving Past Rejections
Convincing hostel owners and landlords to collaborate with them was the true problem that came when the website went online. The first reactions were depressing. They received a lot of rejections, and their chances of success were questioned. However, Asfandyar and his companions remained persistent. They continued in knocking on doors, sharing their vision, and gradually started forming partnerships. They developed relationships with the majority of Patna's hostels over time, building a reliable network for students.
What Hostel96 Had to Offer
Hostel96 is now an excellent option for students looking for hostels. The platform has had a major impact in Patna, with over 7,000 downloads and over 2,000 students receiving coaching. The group is currently extending their offerings to Delhi and Kota, two important Indian educational centres. Their perseverance and faith in their concept are the reasons behind their success.
Dreams and Responsibilities in equilibrium
Asfandyar's career is all the more remarkable because of the way he manages his entrepreneurial and educational duties. Asfandyar, who is now a BAMS student at Yenepoya University, balances the demands of a demanding medical program with his responsibilities as Hostel96's CTO and CMO. His friends Md. Ali Fahad and Md. Asif, are managing their positions as COO/CFO and CEO, respectively, while also completing undergraduate degrees.
It has not been an easy journey. The trio frequently faces extreme pressure, yet they continue because they are dedicated about finding a solution to a real-world issue. They are equally dedicated to the

The Path Ahead
For Hostel96, Asfandyar and his companions had great plans. They are committed to growing their business to new heights and have their sights set on adding more cities and enhancing the student housing experience. They show that hard work and passion can coexist by continuing to be dedicated to their academic objectives.
Although they still have a long way to go, they have established a solid foundation. Asfandyar Khan's journey from battling to find housing to developing a platform that benefits thousands of students is proof of the strength of determination and creativity. Hostel96 is a source of inspiration and confidence for any student who aims to change the
